Saratoga is a city in Santa Clara County, California. It is located on the west side of the Santa Clara Valley, directly west of San Jose, in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is also the northern terminus of a scenic 38 mile stretch of SR 9. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Saratoga is locally known for its suburban small-town feel, wineries, and high-end boutiques.

Major attractions include the Montalvo Center for the Arts and Park, Hakone Gardens, and the Mountain Winery. The Montalvo Center was formerly the summer home of U.S. Senator and San Francisco mayor James D. Phelan, but is now a center for the arts. The Hakone Gardens is an 18-acre park with four gardens. The Mountain Winery is a winery that became famous for its slogan, voiced by Orson Welles in television commercials, "We will sell no wine before its time." The winery is a California Historical Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Also, enjoy the Historic Downtown shopping district.
